SS034 Shepherd & The Shrink Spiritual Warfare

Sometimes you hear people talking about spiritual warfare and think, “Aren’t they being a little melodramatic?” The answer is no, and in this episode, we talk about why.

Today, we discuss the meaning of spiritual warfare. We talk about how the battle starts in yourself and what it means to love God not just with your heart, but also with your mind, soul, and strength. We talk about what a spirit is and what the deal is with Christianity and science. We offer thoughts on distinguishing good from evil, and we note that we’re on God’s side as opposed to Him being on ours. We present the battle of Jericho as a spiritual battle and note that, often, we’re fighting the same battle as the Israelites. We note that, no matter what’s going on in the world, if you let it plant hatred and fear in your heart, the enemy is winning a bigger battle. We talk about how to respond when you’re feeling good and relaxed and how to prepare for battle in your downtime. We discuss why God sometimes delays the victory and why you should never just go through the motions.
