SS081 Shepherd & The Shrink Pride and Humility - Part 1: Living a Humble Life
Humility is hard to define and harder to live out. In this episode--Part 1 of a two-parter--we talk about humility: what it is, how to recognize the real thing, and how to live by it.
Today, we define humility. We discuss the problem with going with the flow, explain what real tolerance is, and share why having humility isn’t something to spend time worrying about. We explain the traps it’s easy to fall into and talk about why the foolproof way to escape them is to stop focusing on yourself. We note that discipline is an important key to humility, also noting that any disciplined person has failed over and over again. We also talk about Mary, explaining how she showed her humility and why she provides the answer for us.
