SS029 Shepherd & The Shrink God’s Not Done with You

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since the COVID pandemic hit the United States. It’s been a tough year for all of us, and like with so many other experiences a lot of us are looking to be “rescued” from it. Given this, what can we learn from it all?

Join me (the Shepherd) today for a Bible study to explore what St. Mark might have to say about this question. I talk about the mess Mark got himself into and how he needed to be rescued by God, then went on to write one of the four Gospels. I note that our God is a God of second chances. I discuss the importance of reconciliation, forgiveness, and humility. I share the benefits of a good community, and I emphasize that it’s never too late to come back to God; He’ll never reject you.

“You can start now, but you can’t start two weeks from now, because you’re not there yet.”

“You can come back too.”

This week on Shepherd & the Shrink:

  • Our need to be rescued

  • The importance of reconciliation

  • Why you can come back to God no matter how bad your situation is and no matter what you’ve done

  • Why now is the time to come back to God

  • The importance of community
